The top six massage techniques

Massage is probably the oldest and simplest existing form of medical care that it has been applied for relaxation, fitness, and other health purposes. Basically, massage therapy is a therapeutic technique that involves manipulation of the soft tissues of the body. It is the calming, therapeutic process of kneading, stroking, and pressing the different areas of the body to alleviate pain, relieve stress and tensions, or relax, stimulate and tone the body.

Well, as what most experts have said, massage, no matter how simple or complex the techniques involved, can really be a great healing system.

A number of massage techniques are available nowadays. The massage is commonly applied in different techniques and in different strokes. The techniques and strokes vary widely from the most delicate touch with the fingertips to the more focused deep tissue work. These techniques may even vary in speed as well as in pressure.

Below is a list of the top rated massage techniques. Read on for one of them might be the right option for you.

Deep Tissue Massage

The deep tissue massage, on the most basic, is a massage technique that focuses on the deeper layers of muscle tissue. It involves a number of slow movements, but generally the pressure is more intense as it aims to release the chronic patterns of tension in the body. The most common target of these movements and deep finger pressure are the contracted areas, either following or going across the muscles of the fiber, fascia and tendons. Usually, in this kind of massage, the therapists use their thumb, fingers and even elbows to apply the needed pressure.

Swedish Massage

Also included in the line of the top rated massage techniques is the so-called Swedish massage. Basically, this technique involves the use of kneading, tapping or calming strokes applied to the entire body to loosen sore joints and relieve muscle tension and pain. Well, what sets Swedish massage unique from the other massage techniques is that it involved five major beneficial strokes: effleurage, petrissage, friction, tapotement, and vibration. Although each of these strokes differ according to their movements and target points, all of them are developed to promote an ultimate feeling of being pampered.

There is one particular purpose that the Swedish massage is strongly holding – to increase the flow of oxygen in the blood and release toxins that were trapped in the muscles. With this purpose alone, the Swedish massage highly works to shorten the recovery time from muscular strain

Sports Massage

Sports massage, as you may know, is a form of massage that is applied for sports purposes, hence the name. It is the technique of kneading and manipulating the soft tissues in the body to help athletes improve their performance, prevent and treat sports injuries. It is highly considered in the field of sports knowing that as the participation in sports becoming more popular at all genders and ages and as performances continue to improve annually, more is expected and demanded from the athletes. It is with this situation that athletes start looking for some effective ways to boost their performances, and sports massage is one of the best solutions they’ve ever discovered.

Heated Stone Massage

Heated stone massage, also known as la stone massage, is widely appreciated and accepted in the healthcare and bodywork industry today. Several clinics, spas, fitness centers, and other healthcare establishments have in fact considered it a very effective alternative to the regular massage therapy.

During the heated stone massage procedure, the therapists and the clients themselves will notice certain changes on the body temperature, including the heart and breathing rates. Heated stone massage is used to indicate such changes to determine the flow of the blood and the exchange of blood and oxygen in the body, allowing a sense of well-being in the end. That’s basically how the heated stone massage works.

Neuromuscular Massage

This is actually a form of deep tissue massage that is applied to the individual muscles. However, the main purpose of the massage techniques involved here is to increase the blood and lymphatic flow, while reducing the pain and release pressure trapped on the nerves. The neuromuscular massage techniques are also considered to release the trigger points which could help relieve headaches and the pain in your shoulder.

Rolfing

Rolfing also hit the line of the most well-known and widely performed massage techniques available. This technique, on the most basic, involves reeducating the body about proper posture. Yes, posture is given much attention here for the belief that posture highly determines health problems like headaches, backaches and joint pain. With that focus, the rolfing massage techniques no doubt seek to straighten and realign your body by working the myofascia, which is actually the connective tissue that assists to hold your body together. This tissue surrounds your muscles.

I am america

The great beauty of a once-proud nation remains in its people and in the roots of its character. It also remains in its sense of idealism. For no matter how far current policy and practice have strayed from the attributes that were part of her founding vision, no matter how much America has ceased being a universal hope for all people, and no matter how far she has departed from her moral center, she remains, in the end, a nation built on the ideals that gave her birth.

These ideals were infused into the hearts of the founders at the time of America's beginnings, fostered by the Realms of Light that watch over each nation, and implanted into the receptive hearts of those who sought freedom and embraced hope. These higher Realms who guard the world and who insure the steady progression of humanity toward greater liberty and self-expression, strengthened the impulse toward freedom and democracy that burned so brightly within the hearts and minds of those who sought to establish a new republic. Though overshadowed in many respects today, this impulse continues to burn brightly within America's deepest heart.

For America's heart is not to be found in her present policies and tendencies. It is not to be found in her present practices concerning other nations. Rather it is to be found in the people themselves who live in small towns and villages, in large cities with busy streets, in spread out farming communities that grow food for a nation, and in all the many places in which life continues in the richness and diversity that has always characterized American life.

All that is noble about America remains in her heart, and yet her heart has become more separated from her outer behavior than ever before. And so those who seek to remain faithful to America's heart must remain in a period of mourning until such time as she can restore to herself the natural goodness that has been part of her heritage and outlook on the world, replacing the greed and self-interest that has so much become part of her present relationship with others.

This return to the moral goodness that remains within the heart of America shall happen inevitably, for it is not possible for a nation to entirely abandon its spiritual destiny. And yet in the meantime, there is much pain that has resulted from this wandering away from her center - both to those who have been disenfranchised at the hands of America's policies, and to those who watch on the sidelines, observing a course of action being taken that is distressing, yet feeling unable to significantly alter it.

Nevertheless, America's heart remains safe within her people. It remains the promise of hope and opportunity for all. It remains the source of generosity toward all and the wish that all be able to pursue the life that they desire and have chosen. This generosity of spirit, this wish for freedom and for the pursuit of happiness for all, characterizes America's heart and spirit. However clouded over it may be at present, the time of its return to a central place in America's relations with others will be, for the heart of America is carried on wings of light, and shall be protected from all that would diminish it or undermine its existence.

North carolina real estate mountains coast and tobacco road

North Carolina has much to offer and is booming. North Carolina real estate is on the move as well.

North Carolina

North Carolina is a state with a variety of styles. Head to the mountains and you’ll find a slower, gentler pace of life in stunning scenery. Providing over 15 percent of all the Christmas trees in the United States, the mountains are full of pines, winding roads, little towns and a hot bed for outdoor activities such as fishing, hiking and camping. Head down into the plains and you’re in the tobacco heart of the country, not to mention a hot bed of colleges with Duke, the University of North Carolina and North Carolina State so closely situated that rivalries are red hot. On the coast, you’ll find beautiful beach areas with little towns and rollicking fun. Locations in North Carolina consistently appear in top ten rankings for best places to live in the country.

Charlotte

Charlotte has exploded over the last ten years and is now the biggest city in North Carolina. The explosion has occurred through careful planning by city leaders, who aimed to make the city an economic hub in the south. Although the neighborhoods contain interesting little shops and areas, the city as a whole lacks the southern charm found elsewhere. If you want to live in a modern southern city, Charlotte is a good place. Some, however, complain the massive development has robbed the city of its soul.

Raleigh-Durham

The Raleigh-Durham area of North Carolina is a hot bed of college life. Duke University and the University of North Carolina can be found within easy reach of each other. Let the rivalries begin. If you’re a college basketball fan, this area rivals the competition between Lexington and Louisville in Kentucky.

Raleigh is the capitol of the state and a nice little city. Visiting the city is more about taking in the lifestyle versus seeing anything in particular. Walking throughout the area will feel a bit like exploring Charlotte, but with the soul of the place still in tact. With the surrounding colleges, the Raleigh-Durham area has that unique, eclectic college atmosphere you typically find with institutes of higher education.

North Carolina Real Estate

North Carolina real estate is fairly reasonably priced. In Charlotte, a single-family home will run you in the $200,000 area with plenty of housing available. If you prefer the Raleigh-Durham area, you can expect a slight increase in average home prices of maybe $20,000.

Appreciation rates in North Carolina are modest to say the least. Despite the economic boom in Charlotte, overbuilding has lead to plenty of supply. In 2005, real estate in the property appreciated at a rate of roughly six percent.

Good reasons why a furniture rental may make good cents

How often have you bought something only to decide a month or two later that it just doesn't fit your lifestyle, or the color isn't right? This is especially difficult situation when the purchase is relatively large like electronics, appliances, or furniture.

One important benefit of furniture and electronic appliance renting is that you can try the product out before really committing to ownership. Want to try the latest flat screen television but are concerned about the clarity or glare in your own home? Rent the unit for a month or so and try it out! This is especially true when considering an appliance technology that is new to you. Things like a flat heating element stove, or an extra large capacity washer and dryer all are good candidates for the try before you buy idea. If you think you may like that large capacity washer and dryer but can't swing the 1,100 to 1,500 dollars for the pair, getting them from a furniture rental company may be a good alternative.

Furniture rental company services are also a way to try out the latest in furniture designs at a fraction of the costs of a direct purchase. Try color schemes in your home without committing to the direct purchase of that new sofa or bedroom suite until you know the color scheme is right.

The first consideration when renting furniture will probably be price. The reason for this is because most of the rental cost is rental fees and not toward the purchase cost. This is ok however in that the intent, at least from this point of view is to rent the equipment or furniture to see if it fits into your lifestyle and home. If you purchase directly and the color is wrong, or that flat screen television isn't exactly right, too bad you own it. With furniture renting or try before you buy, if it's wrong, it's a simple matter to get an exchange or replacement.

Short term needs are another great reason why furniture rental services should be considered. If moving into a new home soon but don't want to move your furniture from storage into temporary housing, then into the new home, rental services may be the answer. Or if moving is part of a career move and you find yourself with two homes, a short term rental service can save a lot of expense. Instead of buying two sets of furniture, consider using furniture rentals in the new home until your previous homes furnishings are shipped.

Although furniture rental companies also do sell product, they offer the very best in consumer satisfaction by using the rental services as a try before you buy option. All in all, this can offer a consumer good service at a moderate cost while delivering the products desired almost immediately.

Last minute travel

There’s no shortage of websites offering last minute travel deals. The idea behind these deals is that if a hotel is going to have a room empty or a flight is going to have an empty seat, it’s better for them to offer it to you at the last minute for a steep discount than it is to just let that spare capacity go to waste.

The big contradiction of last minute travel, however, is that while the places with a lot of spare capacity get cheaper, the places with very little get much more expensive. Booking Christmas flights at the last minute, for example, will never get you a good deal, simply because so many people want those flights. Instead, you will probably end up paying much more than you would have if you had booked early.

As last minute travel deals are for the least in-demand places, you can end up with places that no-one wanted for a reason. Some of the hotels on offer can’t attract any customers because they’re truly dire. The flights on offer are often in the middle of the night, at times when it’s very difficult to even get to the airport without a car because the public transport links are closed. There are all sorts of gotchas waiting with cheap last minute travel.

But it is cheap, and, as ever, that makes up for all sorts of sins. If you’re willing to be flexible about when you fly and where you go, you can still get some very good deals – you’ll probably end up with the all-round budget experience, but what do you expect? To avoid the very worst holidays, though, you should at least take the time to look up a review of the hotel you’re going to stay in before you commit to booking it, no matter how good the deal seems, to make sure that you’re not getting yourself into anything truly terrible.

Ultra-fast thermal label saves print heads

A company has launched the first of a new generation of top coated thermal self-adhesive roll label materials, Taktik Themprint Advantahe Ultra-Fast.

This latest development in thermal imaging technology provides a labelling medium for bar coded price-weigh and box-end labelling requirements on a wide range of machines.

Its top coating provides excellent image protection of the thermal coating which needs less heat to create sharp bar codes and dense black text, says the manufacturer. This heat reduction ensures a longer print head life – without loss of printability.

Thermprint Advantage Ultra-Fast promises as especially speedy thermal response which suits the latest fastest thermal printers. However, this new label material also runs well on older thermal machines and will prolong print head viability when their settings are lowered. Printing speeds up to 12 inches (300mm) per second can be accommodated.

A further advantage of Thermprint Ultra-Fast lies in its ability to avoid the high print energy required to print thermal images clearly through printing inks and glossy varnish in various supermarket price-weigh applications. The use of high print head energy has caused premature print head failure with replacement costs, depending on the machine, of up to Ј1000 each. The new Thermprint labels will activate at lower energy and can overcome the insulating effect of ink and varnish more easily than existing products.

Buying adults pool accessories

Whether you are looking to entertain yourself or your other adult friends, you may want to consider buying pool accessories that are designed with adults in mind.

One of the many reasons why adults enjoy going for a swim is because it is a great way to relax. After a long day at work, there are many individuals who choose a swimming pool as their source of relaxation. If this sounds familiar, you may be able to benefit from the use of a floating raft, floating chair, or floating lounge chair.

Floating chairs are similar to most traditional chairs. In most cases, these chairs will have your upper body above water, but your lower body underwater. Floating chairs are a great way to relax, while enjoying the water at the same time. An added benefit of floating chairs is that many come equipped with drink holders. This literally creates the ultimate source of relaxation because you will not have to leave your seat to get a drink.

Floating long chairs are similar to, the above mentioned, floating chairs. The only difference is that most of these chairs keep your whole body above water. In a way, they resemble patio chairs that are in the lounge position. Floating lounge chairs are ideal for those who are looking to sunbathe or just relax on the water’s surface.

Floating rafts are another popular pool accessory for adults. Floating rafts, like most other floating furniture, comes in a wide variety of different styles. Despite the different styles, most floating rafts are similar to the ones that can be found in water parks.

If excitement is what you are looking for, in addition to floating rafts, you may want to consider buying a kickboard, volleyball net, or basketball hoop. Volleyball nets and basketball hoops are ideal for those who are swimming with others. Whether you are just swimming with a couple of friends or having a pool party, you may find that these popular pool accessories are just what you need to bring your party to life.

In addition to a volleyball net or basketball hoop there are others ways that you can create a fun, party-like atmosphere. That can be done with the buy of a pool bar. Pool bars are miniature bars that can either be setup along the side of your pool or directly in it. Whether you are having a party or just relaxing on your own, you may find that a pool bar will help you to achieve that relaxation. If you are able to install an in-pool bar, you will find that you almost never have to leave your pool to get a snack or something to drink.

Whether you are just looking to buy pool accessories for yourself or for when you have a party, there should be at least one pool accessory out there that can give you what you need. Whether you want to buy floating furniture, sports equipment, or a pool bar, it is likely that you can find what you are looking for, either at your local pool supply store or online.

Learn to dive

Many people dream of scuba diving on their exotic vacations, but are afraid that if they learn to dive, they will end up wasting a lot of their vacation time and money on one activity. The truth is, there are diving courses and schools all over the world, and it is possible to begin your learn to dive course in your native country and to complete it while you are on vacation. Or better yet, you can learn to dive before you go on vacation and earn a diving passport that will enable you to scuba dive anywhere in the world. So before you go on vacation, look into your options carefully if you want to learn to dive.

When you learn to dive, you will be taught basic mechanics in a swimming pool. This might seem simplistic, but even the best swimmers need to learn special techniques for movement when they learn to dive, since mechanics are not the same as those used with regular swimming, especially since divers have equipment to deal with as well. The beginning course also teaches the prospective diver equipment use and maintenance. This is the most intimidating aspect for those who want to learn to dive, but once you get the understand how to handle your equipment, you can begin to dive with confidence.

Of course, safety is an important component of your course as you learn to dive, and the buddy system is essential, even for seasoned divers. Other concepts taught in beginning and intermediate courses include:

• Buddy diving

• Human life support

• Gases under pressure

• Ocean diving

• Rescue skills

Most beginning courses will teach you dive theory, which might include some classroom as well as pool work, and open water dive skills. You will learn to dive through handbooks and videos, not just underwater, but many of these materials can be studied at home to maximize the amount of time students spend in the water.

Some schools place restrictions on whom they will accept for their learn to dive programs. Most places have a minimum age, but this is rather young, usually around twelve. For those who have medical conditions, such as diabetes or asthma, their might be certain restrictions, unless a doctor approves the course for the patient. Some schools will require you to take a medical exam, and others will allow anyone to begin the course if they seem to be in good general health.

Many scuba dive schools offer refresher courses; anyone who wants to learn to dive and to continue diving as a hobby will need to take a refresher course if they do not perform a dive every six months; diving passports expire if too much time has passed between dives. Some students who learn to dive at certain schools will want to continue and take more advanced courses, such as open water and ocean diving. Some will want to quit their dull 9 to 5 grind and become full-time scuba diving instructors. It is a great job for those who like to be in the water and to travel to exotic places. However, given the safety considerations, certification for scuba dive instructors is usually quite rigorous, and many would rather simply learn to dive than to contemplate a career in scuba diving.

Whether you want to learn to dive or need to take a refresher course, it is not difficult to find a course available within a reasonable distance. Soon after you learn to dive, you will want to try out your skills on an exotic vacation in the tropics or elsewhere.

Discover model trains

Model train manufacturers have done a great job of recreating life size trains as realistic models. And they’ve been doing it since the late 19th century when electric model trains first appeared. Take a moment to discover the magic of model trains.

Germany is where it all began when Marklin introduced their full line of model trains back in 1891. Their first trains were based on earlier toy models and were available in three scales. They were made from tin and were very crude, but they were a great success.

Then, in 1901, Joshua Cowen entered the market with Lionel trains. Lionel would soon come to dominate the model train market in America.

Of course there were other companies that came on board with their own lines of model trains. Ives, American Flyer, and Marx all introduced model trains.

Because model trains are so interactive they are a great choice for children and adults. Even the youngest children can enjoy them. It’s not uncommon for adults to recall their first train when talking about their fondest childhood memories.

Lionel was quick to recognize the importance of starting train collectors at a young age and that’s why they’ve got wooden train sets for ages 4 to 6. By the age of 8, kids are ready to be introduced to S scale, G scale, and the ever popular HO scale electric trains. And the hobby continues into adult life. Of course expanding on your model trains is just a matter of time, money, creativity, and space.

There are several different scales of model trains to choose from to fit your space, budget, and personal preferences. For example, if you are limited by space you can choose one of the smaller scales. Here are some of the most popular scale choices you have.

1. Z Scale is a 1:220 ratio. It is tiny and highly detailed, and is an excellent choice if you have limited space.

2. N Scale is a 1:160 ratio. It is the second smallest scale available and it’s a great choice for the hobbyist that want to be able to incorporate scenery and longer trains.

3. HO Scale is a 1:87 ratio. It is probably the most popular scale of model train. There is an endless supply of trains, cars, tracks, buildings, and scenery. The detail on HO is good and a fabulous setup can be put together in a reasonable amount of space.

4. S Scale is a 1:64 ratio. It is larger than the HO and is popular among those with plenty of room. It is the scale of American Flyer products.

5. O Scale is a 1:48 ratio. It is a popular choice for young children because they are able to easily handle them. Lionel carries a full line of O scale for the young ones.

6. G Scale is a 1:22.5 ratio. It is the perfect choice for the garden set up. Bachmann, L. G.B, and Aristo-Craft all make G scale trains.

To put together your model train you will need at least one engine along with some train cars. You can decide whether you want passenger cars or freight cars. And of course you will need train track. The type of track and how much track you’ll need is a personal choice.

You’ll also need a transformer to provide the electricity to your train. Then all that’s left is the scenery you want. Choose trees, tunnels, people, signals, or a host of other items.

If you are looking for a fun and rewarding hobby, why not discover the magic of model trains?

Powerful words

We have the power to achieve, create and change circumstances in our lives. We are born powerful. Our Creator did not leave us helpless, poor and weak. He gave us all the tools to not only survive but fulfill our destiny to the utmost. We are all born for a purpose. It does not matter where we came from or the circumstances of our birth, youth or present lifestyle.

Let us consider these Words:

“The Lord will perfect that which concerns me: your mercy, O Lord, endures forever; forsake not the works of your own hands.” (Isaiah 138:8)

“I will praise you; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; marvelous are thy works.. My substance was not hid from you, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. Your eyes did see my substance, yet being imperfect; and in your book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them.(Psalm 139:14-16)

“Thus says the Lord, thy Redeemer; the Holy One of Israel; I am the Lord thy God who teaches you to profit, who leads you by the way that you should go.” (Isaiah 48:17)

These are just a few Words of Promise that you can stand on and act upon. The Bible is filled with them. Not only is God’s Word better than the thoughts and words of great thinking and creative genius, it transforms people! Why? Because they penetrate the heart! They don’t merely appeal to your intellect, emotions or common sense, like ordinary words. The Word of God is “Quick and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow (body), and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” (Hebrews 4:12).

The Word of God is Truth, and the Truth will set you free. Freedom from fear, despair, suffering, and anxiety is the greatest gift you can get. It fills you with hope, love and faith which transforms into real Power..

Jesus is also called the Word of God. “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with of God, and the Word was God. (John 1:1) He came to give beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, and the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they may be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord. (Isaiah 61:3) Furthermore, to those who believe in Him He gives the power to become the sons of God. (John 1:12)

That amazing power is not just for us to read about in the Bible. That kind of supernatural power is available to each and every one of us, every moment of every day! God's truth allows you to experience His grace and His power. So, instead of solving your problems by your own minute power, allow me to encourage you to reach out and tap into God’s Power. It's available for each one of us, smart or not, rich or poor, happy or miserable - any time we call upon His name.

How is alcohol affecting your weight

So you’ve been exercising regularly, and cutting back on your calories to meet your weight loss goals. Everything is going great with your new changes but you notice the number on the scale isn’t moving much and your body isn’t changing shape as quickly as you’d hoped. There may be one more habit interfering with your weight loss efforts - - alcohol. Perhaps you enjoy a glass of wine with dinner, have a couple of beers while watching the big game, or even cocktails on a Saturday night with friends. All common practices but they may be getting in the way of your weight loss efforts.

Alcoholic beverages have been enjoyed throughout recorded history. For some, a drink with dinner may be relaxing. Others may enjoy the inhibitions that alcohol can create to “let loose” with friends. Many people drink for the health benefits. After-all, evidence shows that moderate drinking, especially red wine, may lower the risk of heart disease. No matter what your reasons are for drinking, alcohol can interfere with your weight loss goals.

Alcohol is a product of fermenting carbohydrates - both sugars and starches. This means it does provide calories. Specifically it provides 7 calories for every gram compared to 4 calories per gram of carbohydrates and protein, and 9 calories per gram of fat. Drinking 4 (12 ounce) beers will supply 600 calories. To burn those calories, a person would need to walk non-stop for 3 hours. Skipping the cab ride and walking home may be a strategy but for most of us a 3 hour walk is a bit daunting even when we are in good shape.

Although wine contains fewer calories than beer, this can also lead to extra calories. Having a glass of wine provides 100 calories, but this is dependent on the glass size. A serving size of wine is 5-ounces. The larger wine glasses hold about 10 ounces turning your one glass of wine into two glasses. To put this into perspective, drinking two glasses of wine each night with dinner will add an extra 200 calories each day. If these calories are not burned through exercise and daily activity it can lead to a 20 pound weight gain in a year.

Adding juice, creams, and sodas to cocktails will increase the calorie level beyond what the alcohol is already providing. Be careful of what you are drinking. In some cases, one drink provides more calories than an entire meal! Here are the drinks that top the scales for most calories -

Long Island Iced Tea: 780 calories

Margarita: 740 calories

Pina Colada: 644 calories

White Russian: 425 calories

Sex on the Beach: 356 calories

Mai Tai: 350 calories

Lemon Drop: 223 calories

Besides adding calories, alcohol may affect your weight for other reasons. Some evidence suggests drinking alcoholic beverages may stimulate your appetite and cause you to eat more than you normally would. It also decreases your inhibitions so you don’t care how much more you are eating. How many times have you enjoyed chips and salsa with your margaritas while out with friends? How many chips did you eat? Who knows - all you remember is the waiter bringing three or four refills of the chip bowl.

Another factor to take into account is that your body processes alcohol first, before fat, protein, or carbohydrates which may slow down the burning of fat. There is also evidence that drinking too much seems to increase fat carried in the stomach area - otherwise known as the beer belly. Studies show that people with a higher amount of fat in the abdominal region are at a greater risk of heart disease.

Ok, this is looking dreary but it doesn’t mean you can never enjoy alcohol again. It just means that it is time to take inventory to see how much you are drinking and pay attention to how many calories your favorite drinks supply. Learn how to enjoy alcohol in moderation so you don’t end up sabotaging your weight loss efforts.

Problem of printing of multiple files

If you have ever needed to print a large number of files, you would probably know how tedious and time consuming this process can be.

If the number of files to print is not very high and the files are of the same type, the task might not be too bad. In this case the best way to print all the files can be: open all files in an application which can print this file type, then go quickly through every file one-by-one and send every file to printer.

The printing process is usually organized in such way that you do not need to wait for printer to finish each document(file), instead you can spool many files into a queue. While printer processes a document, which is a relatively slow process, all upcoming files are stored in computer and printer memory. This memory queue for upcoming files allows users quickly submit their documents for printing and continue doing other tasks.

The problem arises when the number and type of file for printing is getting high. If there are different types of files to be printed, user must open each file type group in a corresponding application and submit each file for printing individually. The problem is becoming even worse when the number of opened files and applications grows, computer memory has its limits and it cannot open too many files and applications.

User can still deal with different types of files if their number is probably not more than 20-30. How would a user deal with 100, 1000, or 10,000 files? This can be a big problem for users at print shops, medical transcription industry, or for anybody who needs to print large number of files, for example PDF, Excel, Word, Image, TIFF, and others.

There are software solutions exist to overcome the problem of printing multiple files of different types. Some of the popular titles include Print Helper by DCI, Batch & Print Pro by Traction Software, and Batch Print & Batch Convert by SilentPrint. They offer free trial versions for download.

Help for our economy and ecology

There are several ways you can conserve energy and protect the environment:

• Replace incandescent bulbs with compact fluorescents.

• Air dry dishes instead of using the dishwasher drying cycle.

• Use your microwave instead of a conventional electric range or oven.

• Turn off your computer and monitor when not in use.

• Plug home electronics, such as TVs and VCRs, into power strips and turn power strips off when equipment is not in use.

• Lower the thermostat on your hot water heater; 115° is comfortable for most uses.

• Take showers instead of baths to reduce hot water use.

• Wash only full loads of dishes and clothes.

• Drive sensibly. Aggressive driving can lower your gas mileage by 33 percent at highway speeds.

• Avoid keeping unnecessary items in your vehicle, especially heavy ones. Every 100 pounds can cut MPG by 2 percent.

• Avoid engine idling.

More good news: Getting oil from where it's found to where it's needed-without ruining any ecosystems or running up costs-may be a bit easier. That's because of a slick new way to move giant oil tankers.

These ships often have to navigate narrow, winding channels in places like the Bosporus or the Suez Canal; and they have to do so at the highest possible speeds. There is a new way to prevent an oil spill and save money, time and even lives as well as protecting the environment.

Now there is a new type of high-tech tug that can push the tankers in any direction in an instant, no matter what the wind, weather or water condition or even how well the ship's own propulsion and steering systems are working. That means the oil in the carriers will more likely get to the homes and cars safely.

This is all made possible by a unique propeller system that moves much like a fish's tail does as it swims. In fact, the Voith Water Tractor has been recognized as the "Best Available Technology" by environmentalists and is used at more than 120 ports worldwide.

Top ten travel destinations - part ii

National Geographic magazine recently released an updated version of its top travel lists, and the destinations listed all have the advantages of unparalleled scenery, a developed economy geared towards tourists, and the advantages of careful exploitation, tempered by the fact that they are usually adjacent to more popular destinations in terms of volume.. Here are the final five in the list of the best places to travel to.

6) Rocky Mountain parks, Canada: There are four National Parks in a row in the Rocky Mountain range of Canada, running through the two provinces of Alberta and British Columbia. Combined, these parks offer some of the best adventure and recreational sport travel opportunities in the world, along with unique scenery and incredible biodiversity. Banff and Jasper are perhaps the best known of the parks, with Banff being a mere hour drive from the city of Calgary. Yoho and Revelstoke also offer great opportunities for skiers and hikers.

7) Scottish Highlands, United Kingdom: This site has it all in terms of cultural appeal and natural beauty. The towering mountains offer all the recreational choices of young fold ranges. For the sightseer, there are various opportunities. Natural attractions include the Corrieshaloch Gorge and the fabled Loch Ness, while heritage also factors high with the area’s many castles and ancient cairns. The area offers opportunities at all times of the year, from spring alpine blooms to fall foliage.

8) Kruger National Park, South Africa: Surprisingly, this park located along the border with Mozambique is the only African safari destination in the top ten. This could be due to its historical origins as one of the first protected areas in Africa, and also with its well-developed and natural tourist opportunities. Kruger encompasses two ecosystems, dry savanna in the north and open grassland in the south. There is a huge array of wildlife in the area, including all of the African “Big Five” (rhino, elephant, leopard, lion, and Cape Buffalo), antelope, giraffe, wild dog, and many other species of wildlife. The Park is also located in one of the more politically stable regions of Africa, unaffected by the high crime that embroils the rest of the country.

9) Kyoto historic district, Japan: Anyone who has watched the recently released Memoirs of a Geisha can imagine the appeal of this area, ninth on the list. Ancient Buddhist temples, wooden townhouses, and geisha houses bound in a modern day reflection of ancient Japanese glory. The area is abundant with detailed Japanese xeriscape and architecture, from gardens to bridges, nobility houses and public works buildings.

10) Quebec City historic city center, Canada: Quebec City is the French cultural heart of Canada, and the City center is representative of all that the francophone culture includes. This is the only city in North America that has preserved its colonial ramparts and also incorporates all of the old trappings of fortresses, such as bastions and towers. The area is also considered to be a World Heritage Centre.

fishing kit basics

Before going deeper into the technicalities, make sure that a fishing license is secured. To be an amateur fisherman there are basic pieces of fishing equipment needed to complete your exciting journey in the fishing world. Knowing the line type and matching the right rod and reel to the fishing technique is just basic common sense. Match these tools appropriately and expect a more enjoyable experience for a more comfortable fishing. There are several things that causes the reel to turn into a bird's nest, don't worry, even experienced fishermen encounter this every now and then.

The main objective is to match the rod, the reel, the line and the lure. These will only cost a newbie around $25 to $40 and they could last for years. The 3 main issues when shopping for a rod are: Guides that are attached to the rod; Grip or handle holds the rod and could come in either cork or foam. They come in different lengths so the comfort to the user must be considered; and the reel seat where the reel is connected.

Dealers make a lot of fishing rods that could either be single or consist of two or more pieces when assembled. The connection is very simple; just connect the male and female ends together to make sure the guides are lined up. This would only last for a minutes. Sometimes, lubricants are needed. When shopping for a rod, slightly bend it to get the feel of it. Again comfort should be considered when using the equipment.

Rods of any type will work. It should be around 6' long and medium weight. Even a long stick will work. This should be long, straight and flexible so it will not easily break. The most popular rod is Graphite because it is so light yet so strong. Wispy rods should be up to 4m long to be used for long casts in moderate winds.

There are a lot of fishing lines to choose from and it can be very confusing to find the best. It is mostly made of nylon and "monofilament" that comes in spools of different lengths that are called Tests. The larger the fishing line the thicker it is in diameter. Find a piece of a 4lb. or 4 lb. Test that is almost 10' long for the basic rig.

The basic rule is that all the gears should match. To summarize your fishing kit, it should include other stuff as well: net, stringer, line clippers, fishing knife, first aid box, a pail of bait, sunglasses, fishing hat, and talking about the basics, don't forget your SNACKS!

Air purifier and cleaners what s in it for you

You are probably getting annoyed. And that’s because there is so much talk about air purifier and cleaners going around you that you just can’t understand what the big deal is all about. Here is just another well marketed home appliance getting more than its fair share of airtime and trying to convince well-meaning people with their hard earned money. Air purifier and cleaners! What a waste! You think so?

Think again!

For air purifiers and cleaners hold the key to completely change the way you have viewed and lived your life and the life around you. Imagine a life of breathing air as pure as possible, giving your body the best intake it can ever have and leading a superior lifestyle of health-consciousness? Air purifiers and cleaners make all this possible for you and more. Enough said about how these technological marvels can be good, let’s get down to why you need any of these and what they can do for you.

In a documented study by a government body in the US, it was found that indoor levels of pollution are typically 2-5 times more than the outdoors (because of spatial density) which is a source of concern as most people spend a significant part of the life indoors than in the outdoors. Pollutants or the “bad-particles” at your home could be 8-10 times higher in concentration than it is outside your front door. And that fact doesn’t go down too well with our friendly neighborhood air purifier and cleaners. Especially so for without the air purifier and cleaners, the pollution in the air manifests itself in our bodies as allergies to smoke, dust, fumes, pollen, dander, mites and host of other such particulate matter. Does indoor fatigue, sinus irritations, sneezing bouts, sleep disorders all sound too familiar to you? That’s what can happen and a lot more in the absence of air purifier and cleaners.

Essentially, the core of this article is to convey just one piece of information to you – that the use of air purifier and cleaners is a win-win situation for the user, simply because you can’t put a price tag to the value of a healthy life or living conditions. If for the cost of a few dollars, air purifiers and cleaners can make you enjoy every living moment you spend under its observant clean influence, then it’s almost a no-brainer in making a decision of choosing to use one. And after that what remains is only a choice of the type of air purifier and cleaners that you had like to use.

Remember one thing; nothing can ever be too expensive for granting yourself a cleaner healthier life. For yourself and for your family! Wish you all the best!

Let s go dancing with google

A ‘Page Rank’ is a number Google gives to a web page that represents how important Google thinks the page is on the web. When one page links to another, Google considers it to be effectively casting a vote for the other page. The more ‘votes’ there are for a page across the whole web, the more important that page must be. But that’s quite an assumption, isn’t it? The importance of the page that is casting the vote determines how important the vote itself really is, meaning in Google calculations a page's importance comes from the votes cast for it. These votes are then taken into account when the page is ranked.

As a general rule of thumb, Google Page Ranks along with Alexa ratings are the best indicators of how well your SEO work has been going. Granted, the ranking that you appear in on the results for your most important key words is the real indicator, but a strong Google Page Rank will help to boost this position substantially. The more links that you have pointing at your site, the better off you are. That’s a basic rule that will apply throughout your SEO operations.

These sorts of separations are interesting and can contribute to a great deal of change and motion in page ranks. The most important thing to keep in mind is that eventually Google will get you into your proper place. Generally, if you behave, you will not be thrown down for long by the odd activity that can occur when Google is in the process of updating its index for your server (or for the servers of your favorite link partners.

The best way to increase your page rank is to contact people with relevant and complementary content (that is, content that does not compete with your own but that enhances it). These links are most likely to last and they will not only increase your Google Page Rank, but they will also provide relevant hits via the links themselves.

How is PageRank Calculated? Google calculates the PageRank PR of all pages it indexes, taking into account all the links to and from each site. When a page ‘votes’ for other pages by linking to them, it shares out some of its PageRank value amongst these pages. This algorithm means that a link to your site from a page with PR4 (i. e. a Page Rank of 4) and five outbound links would be worth more than a link from a page with PR8 and a hundred outbound links. It’s not just the Page Rank of the page that’s important, but also the number of links it has.

You see, the ‘time-to-live’ for www. google. com is only five minutes – that means that Google’s IP address can change every five minutes. This allows them to switch between their datacenters regularly, spreading the search load between them intelligently and routing around any damage. If you constantly entered the same datacenter with every search that you placed it would almost certainly fry within twenty four hours. Considering the number of users on Google each and every day, it is surprising that ten thousand servers is enough. A server can only handle so much traffic in a day and Google insures that it can hold more than any other service on the internet.

The datacenters updating their indexes at different times causes Google to do its dance. Unless you’re looking for your website’s ranking, you’d never notice this as your site is normally available at all times. The unfortunate bit is that often times you will lose your page ranking for a short period of time or your site will seem to have a lower number of pages indexed by Google. If you insure that you have several hundred pages available on Google at all times you will most likely be able to provide all of your content at all times either directly or indirectly.

Bowling balls choosing the right coverstock

:
Bowling balls are available in a variety of coverstocks, top weights, pin locations, weight blocks and more. Choosing the proper bowling ball to best suit your game can prove to be a challenge. Fortunately, there are quite a few resources available online to research your bowling ball decision.

Below, is a brief breakdown of how the coverstock of a bowling ball can determine the reaction of the bowling ball on a specific lane condition.

Coverstocks refer to the surface of the bowling ball. For example, most bowling balls will have either a dull surface or a shiny surface. From the manufacturer, the new bowling ball will already have this characteristic. However, you can alter the surface to your liking by adding a bowling ball polish to the ball or simply dulling the surface by using a dulling compound or even a scotch brite pad.

When a bowling ball is shiny, the reaction of the bowling ball tends to have more length before it reaches the breakpoint and hooks. When it is dull, the ball will roll up earlier, giving the appearance of more hook. In reality, the bowling ball just reaches it's breakpoint sooner when it is dull compared to when it is polished. Depending on the lane condition, you will be able to determine which bowling ball surface is right for you.

If the lane is slick (more oil on it), you will want a reaction from the ball that will roll earlier. The reason being is that the oil delays the rotation of the ball being able to reach its mass bias, the point of where the ball flips and begins to hook. By using a coverstock that is dull, it creates more friction between the surface of the ball and the oil on the lane, in turn having the ball reach its breakpoint sooner.

When the lane condition is on the drier side (less oil on the lane), you will want to use a bowling ball with a little more shine to it. A shiny ball will have less friction in a sense that the shine makes the bowling ball skid further down the lane before it starts to turn. However, it should be noted that on dry lanes, the bowling ball will want to naturally go into its roll sooner because of the small amount of oil that is on the lane.

The coverstock is one important aspect of bowling balls and being able to properly match up your game to the lane condition. Ideally, you will want to speak with your local bowling ball pro shop operator about your next bowling ball purchase. It is best to have them watch you bowl as well as talk about what bowling balls are currently in your bag.

If a bowling ball pro shop is not located in the center you bowl at, many excellent resources are available online. One such resource for bowling balls is BirdDogBowling. com.

Shopping for percussion

Percussion is one of the ancient musical instruments used by early human civilizations. These instruments are widely used not only for musical purposes but also as a symbol of cultural and religious values. Before shopping for percussion instruments it is always advisable to understand them properly.

All percussion instruments fall under two broad groups tuned and untuned. Shakers and hand drums that produce undefined pitches belong to untuned category where as marimbas, steel pans, and xylophone that creates defined tonal ranges falls under tuned category. Today a variety of percussion instruments are available in the market.

It is widely believed that the percussion instruments are originated from African continent symbolizing their ancient culture. Djembe is one of the earliest versions of percussions. It is basically a large goblet-shaped drum carved of wood and fitted with animal skin. This instrument is played using bare hands and sometimes with sticks. Djembe is gaining popularity among western music lovers recently.

The thumb piano is a melodic percussion musical instrument having a carved wooden body and flattened nails or similar metals as keys. Tama or talking drum is tied with vertical strings across the body to produce changed pitches. It is believed to talk with skilled players while playing with curved stick.

Udu is a pot shaped percussion instrument made of clay with narrow mouth and a hole in the side. This instrument is played by beating the clay surface in one hand and moving the other hand on the hole and mouth producing magnificent sound effects. Gadam is a similar type of clay instrument widely used in Indian subcontinent while performing carnatic classical music.

Congas are the widely used Afro Cuban originated percussion musical instrument. Originally congas were made of wood staves and calfskin heads. Synthetic and fiberglass shells are used in modern congas which results in louder volume projection. Congas are normally associated with other two types of drums named tumba and quinto. Usually these three instruments come as a set and are kept in conga gig bags or cases for better performance.

Bongos are another kind of small hand drums originated from Cuba and are played in sitting position keeping the instrument between the legs. Timbales were originally iron vessels used in transporting sugarcanes. Steel or brass is used in modern timbales to produce powerful cutting tone which is suitable for any music styles like rock, Latin and fusion.

The xylophone is a kind of tuned percussion instrument made of wooden bars of various lengths with vibrating tubes below them with piano like keyboards.

Wooden, rubber or plastic headed mallets are used to play such instruments. Xylophones are used in variety of music styles including ethnic, jazz and classical.

New ideas for a low-cost vacation on water

If you really enjoy spending your vacation 'on water' or would like to try something new and exciting for the first time, then you can consider a houseboat vacation. There are so many fun things to do and so many great landscapes to see on a houseboat vacation!

But before making further plans, let's take a look at the options that you have for a low-cost vacation on water: you could rent a houseboat this year and try out an altogether exotic kind of vacation this year, or you could indulge in a houseboat timeshare.

What is a houseboat timeshare? Most people who have used a houseboat timeshare say that it is a great way to spend your vacation at a very high-quality resort, in a place where you couldn't get reservations so easily that too at a very low price! Doesn’t that sound great? But let's see how and why houseboat timeshares can offer you with such fabulous opportunities of low-cost vacationing on water.

Initially the concept of timeshare appeared somewhere in the 1960's in France. The principle of a timeshare actually marketed the concept of 'buying the hotel' for vacationing. Indeed, timeshare is a form of real estate ownership, more precisely vacation property ownership. The owners divide the costs of running the resort and also the use of the place between themselves. This timeshare concept was first applied to land-resorts, but nowadays, we have all kinds of vacation properties, including houseboats.

Houseboat timeshare works on a very simple principle. All 52 weeks of the year are divided between the owners (usually there are 51, considering that one week should remain for maintenance)! So they can own the resort on a 1/51 basis and can use the resort one week per year.

Of course, one can buy as many houseboat timeshares as he/she wants to. But maybe you neither have the budget to do that nor the time. And spending your vacation in the same spot every year doesn't seem to be such an exciting idea too! Therefore, several companies have been founded who promote the idea of exchanging timeshares.

Thus being a timeshare owner helps you avail the opportunity to exchange the existing timeshare with someone else to a more pleasant vacation on a different spot for a very small fee. And so, with the houseboat timeshare you could spend less for a vacation that in other conditions would end up costing you quite a fortune.

There are many companies out there that deal in timeshare and exchanging. Several of them deal with all types of vacation property ownership, like land resorts, houseboat timesharing or even motor homes, yachts and campgrounds.

If you want to consider houseboat timeshares for a low-cost vacation on water but don't know if you will really like the concept, then I would recommend that you go to one of the exchange companies and try to get a vacation timeshare for a week. These companies have special offers for non-timeshare-owners. In this way, you can check out what you'll be 'owning' and see if it suits you or not. And of course, you can make a comparison between renting and houseboat timeshare when it comes to the question of your budget. In this way you'll be able to assess if it is more convenient for you to rent or to pay the company's fee and the maintenance fee for a houseboat timeshare.

Whatever be your choice, don’t forget to enjoy your low-cost vacation on water to the fullest!

Vitamin a

All About Vitamin A

Vitamin A was given the first letter of the alphabet for a name because it was the first vitamin to be discovered. It was found that vitamin A has a large number of uses in the body including keeping eyes healthy, aiding cell growth and also helping boost the immune system. However, vitamin A is not only absorbed directly but it is also created by the body by converting beta carotene into vitamin A.

Vitamin A itself is found in a number of foods such as eggs, milk, liver and meat. Beta carotene that the body can convert into vitamin A is found in many fruits and vegetables, especially the red, orange and green coloured ones. The most important point to remember that consuming too much pure vitamin A can be toxic. It is essential not to exceed the recommended daily allowance for vitamin A. The actual recommended allowance of vitamin A varies depending on a person’s age, sex and other factors. While the actual amount of vitamin A consumed may be toxic if the recommended daily allowance is exceeded, there is a far higher limit to how much beta carotene can be consumed. Therefore it is advisable to concentrate on obtaining the greatest amount of beta carotene which the body can then convert to vitamin A, rather than consuming vast quantities of pure vitamin A rich foods.

Many people will remember being told that eating lots of carrots helps you to see in the dark and that is down to the vitamin A that is produced from the high levels of beta carotene that are found in the vegetables. Other foods which have high levels of beta carotene that can be converted to vitamin A include tomatoes and dark green leafy vegetables, such as spinach. Beta carotene is not only used to form vitamin A, but it is also a powerful antioxidant in itself. None of the beta carotene that is absorbed is wasted as any excess after conversion to vitamin A has taken place is used to fight the harmful free radicals within the body. Vitamin A also helps fight infections and illnesses by helping tissues that line various parts of the body, including the eyes, mouth, nose, throat and lungs, to grow and also to repair them if they are damaged to prevent infection. Children also need plenty of vitamin A to help their bones and teeth to develop properly.

How to write a letter of reference

Have you ever been asked to write a letter of reference for a co-worker, employee or former employee? Generally, a letter of reference is used to help obtain employment, apply for higher education, or as a character reference for those seeking a government position. This is an important request, as a well-written letter can be the reason the candidate receives the offer he or she is hoping for.

In all likelihood, you won’t be asked to write a letter of reference for someone you don’t know or get along with very well. But, if you have any doubts about writing a recommendation for this person, you should decline the offer and suggest they ask another person. Only write a letter for someone whom you would truly recommend.

A letter of reference doesn’t need to be long and wordy. In the first few sentences, explain how you know this person (co-worker, neighbor, business acquaintance) and for how long. Mention any shared any experiences such as coaching the same basketball team, singing in the church choir or working on a project together at the office.

Think of two or three major character traits to describe this person that would be pertinent to the reason you are writing the reference. Are they honest and dependable? Do they always finish what they start? While Mike may be the best guitar player you know and can recite lyrics from songs written twenty years ago, chances are these are not reasons he’ll get that job offer. Think of what you would say if you were asked to make a toast to this person during a special occasion.

A short anecdote describing how this person handled a difficult situation will make your letter stand out from the rest. Think of an incident that made you see this person in a new light. Finally, add a short statement that draws the letter to a close.

Here’s a sample letter of reference.

To Whom It May Concern:

I am pleased to write this Letter of Reference for Mike Smith. I have lived next door to Mike for ten years, and we both have served on the XYZ Neighborhood Watch Committee for the past three years.

Mike is a pleasure to work with on this committee. His drive and determination to make our neighborhood a safer place was the catalyst in getting our local government to install a traffic light at a busy intersection in our community. Once, during a power outage in rush hour, and risking life and limb, Mike took the initiative to direct traffic himself rather than risk an accident at this intersection.

Mike’s perseverance and genuine concern for his fellow citizen are perfect examples of why it is my privilege to recommend him for a position with your company. I feel confident he will be an asset to your organization and will add to your continued success.

Client Requirement

Before the start of any software development project, it is important to get the need for the product. The MindCells team works with the client and his team to gather the essential background for the company, the systems they follow, the envisioned role of the product – where it fits in, etc. Gathering this data is a crucial brick in the foundation of every relevant product.

Market Research

In case of a Client request, Market Research is made to identify the potential customers need. In this process, the already existing need and the possible potential needs that are available in a segment of the society is studied carefully. The market study is done based on lot of assumptions. Assumptions are the crucial factors in the development or inception of a product development. Unrealistic assumptions can become a nosedive in the entire venture.

Research and Development

Once the research is complete, the team discusses it with the Client and formulates the final plan. The team then conceptualises a cost-effective system that could potentially solve the client’s need better than his competitors. Once the conceptual system is developed and tested in a hypothetical environment, the development team takes control of it.

Mindcells' development method has the following activities;

System Engineering and Modeling

As software is always of a large system or business, work begins by establishing requirements for all system elements and then allocating some subset of these requirements to software. This system view is essential when software must interface with other elements such as hardware, people and other resources. System is the basic and very critical requirement for the existence of software in any entity. So if the system is not in place, the system should be engineered and put in place. In some cases to extract the maximum output, system should be re-engineered and spiced up. Once the ideal system is engineered or tuned up, the development team studies the software requirement for the system.

Software Requirements Analysis

In this phase, the development team investigates the need for possible software automation in the given system. By the end of the this study, the team furnishes a document that holds the different specific recommendations for the candidate system. It also includes the personnel assignments, costs, project schedule, and target dates. To understand the nature of the program(s) to be built, the system engineer ("analyst") must understand the information domain for the software, as well as required function, behavior, performance and interfacing. The essential purpose of this phase is to find the need and to define the problem that needs to be solved.

System Analysis and Design

In this phase, the software's overall structure and its nuances are defined. In terms of the client/server technology, the number of tiers needed for the package architecture, the database design, the data structure design etc are all defined in this phase. Analysis and Design are very crucial in the whole development cycle. Any glitch in the design phase could be very expensive to solve in the later stage of the software development. Much care is taken during this phase. The logical system of the product is developed in this phase.

Code Generation

The design must be translated into a machine-readable form. The code generation step performs this task. If design is performed in a detailed manner, code generation can be accomplished with out much complication. With respect to the type of application, the right programming language is chosen.

Testing

Once the code is generated, the program testing begins. Different testing methodologies are available to unravel the bugs that were committed during the previous phases. Different testing tools and methodologies are already available.

Maintenance

Software will definitely undergo change once it is delivered to the customer. There are many reasons for the change. Change could happen because of some unexpected input values into the system. In addition, the changes in the system could directly affect the software operations. The software should be developed to accommodate changes that could happen during the post implementation period.

Conclusion

Timing is very crucial in software development. If a delay happens in the development phase, the market could be taken over by the competitor. Also if a 'bug' filled product is launched in a short period of time (quicker than the competitors), it may affect the reputation of the company. So, there should be a tradeoff between the development time and the quality of the product. Customers don't expect a bug free product but they expect a user-friendly product.

Logo facts

What makes one logo better than another?

Simplicity.

A good logo works in the simplest form. It is a memorable representation of your brand and inspires confidence in your customers. Africa getting back to the basics

:
The astounding beauty of Africa's many regions has attracted Western explorers, sparked wars and piqued historians' interests for centuries upon centuries. From the tranquil Mediterranean coast of North Africa to the thriving southern tip of Cape Town, the great continent spans over 10,000 indigenous tribes, more than 500 languages and over 60 independent nations and political territories.

Africa is referred to as the cradle of human life as we know it, being the oldest inhabited territory in the world. Travel through Africa will reveal the modern dilemma of a region pushing forward with globalization and technology at the same time that many cultures and tribes are striving to protect their traditional way of life. In addition to human life, Africa supports the world's most spectacular collection of rare species and biodiversity. Encountering Africa's wilderness firsthand is not only a radically unique experience, but also a once-in-a-lifetime privilege that future generations may not have the opportunity to share.

Many Regions, More Identities
The overwhelming expanse of the African continent is best understood and traveled by region. The different regions in Africa are individually as diverse as the continent in its entirety, and the complexities of the cultures and nationalities leave the unsuspecting traveler dumbfounded.

The predominantly Arabic culture of North Africa enjoys the Mediterranean shore, from the majestic pyramids in Egypt to the enchanting Moorish architecture of Morocco. For the adventurous, the Sahara Desert lies just to the south and brings this region drier, hotter summers compared with its northern Mediterranean neighbors. Along the Atlantic Ocean, West Africa is predominantly comprised of Africa's savannahs, known for their exciting wildlife safaris. The west is also home to Africa's greatest cultural and political diversity, largely a result of the colonial era and the Slave Trade. East Africa is one of the most popular destinations where Africa's two tallest peaks, Mount Kilimanjaro and Mount Kenya, soar imperially above great concentrations of elephants, water buffalo and rhinoceros. Visitors also venture east to explore the Great Rift Valley, a geologic wonder formed by the global movement of the earth's plates. Southern Africa is a blend of forests, grasslands and deserts rich with diamonds and gold. Travel in southern Africa is unique due to the high population of Europeans and Indians; consequently, a distinct culture of food, music, art and religion has emerged from the blending of traditions.

Growing urban centers, breathtaking national parks and endless encounters with the past is only the beginning of your African travels. Travel to Africa and meet the many faces of our global history. The constant adventure and intellectual intrigue of this multifaceted and ancient continent is a journey that will be cherished for a lifetime. Learning to speak another language will make you welcomer when you travel and it shows a tremendous respect for a different culture than your own. People notice and are pleased when you make a concerted effort to speak a local language, even if you only learn a few words such as hello, goodbye, please and thank you.

Cultural understandings are bridged when a person takes on the endeavour of learning to speak a new language. Learning a new language opens up new avenues and new ideas and provides a broader way of viewing the world. There are many cultural and linguistic differences between languages and learning these can make a great deal of difference to ones life. Be aware as well that learning to speak another language also means that you can enjoy music, film and literature in the language and do not require it to be translated. Rarely is a translation an exact replica of what was originally spoken, sung or written.

Learning a foreign language will increase your options when it comes to your chosen career. A great number of schools as well as plenty of employers have a preference for those who are able to speak more than one language. While English is a language that is spoken widely throughout the world, it would do you well to learn French for example if you will be doing business in France at all or if you will be working with French clients.

Learning another language can also play a role in helping you learn more about your own. You can enhance your ability to know as much as possible about the English language by learning another language, such as French or Spanish. Check out www. eurotalk. ie to get you started on the language-learning path.

Evaluating vendors of ecommerce fulfillment services

Once your website has secured an order, you have to fulfill it. While the fulfillment of digital goods is usually handled online, the delivery of physical goods is handled in a "brick-and-mortar" world.

When choosing a fulfillment company for your ecommerce operation, you need to evaluate both fulfillment services and ecommerce services for order processing.

Evaluating Fulfillment Services

Fulfillment services includes receiving, inventorying, warehousing, delivery, record-keeping and customer inquiries. You have options to outsource part of or all of fulfillment services to a third party.

Receiving - This is the process that fulfillment vendors acquire goods from suppliers and the accuracy of services starts at the receiving.

Inventorying - The skills of inventory management directly impact the quality and cost of fulfillment. If inventory is out of stock, you may lose customers. If inventory level is too high, it may increase the cost of inventory.

Warehousing - Physical goods are stored in a warehouse and valuable items are usually stored in secure storage. While fulfillment companies have their warehouses and distribution centers, small businesses can store goods in their garages or basements.

Shipping - For order fulfillment, goods are delivered to customers in various shipping methods - ground, overnight, etc. at fulfillment centers. Customers specify shipping methods when they place their orders and the fulfillment companies may adjust the shipping methods of the delivery.

Return and Order Inquiry - Customer Service Reps at fulfillment companies can handle return and refund for their clients. Most ecommerce sites allow customers to view their orders and status of fulfillment online.

Record Keeping and Reporting - The ability to track all information pertinent to the order fulfillment (from inventory items, customers, orders to shipping) will help businesses to gain insights into the behaviors of their customers. Fulfillment companies and large organizations usually install inventory and fulfillment management software to automate the processes. Small business owners can find shareware for less than $100.

Evaluating Ecommerce Services

E-commerce fulfillment vendors are usually fulfillment vendors that provide ecommerce services related to fulfillment.

Online Catalog - Ecommerce fulfillment vendors can either develop online storefront for you or integrate your online storefront into their backend fulfillment system.

Online Payment Processing - Online storefronts from ecommerce fulfillment providers should have the ability to process payments online in credit card, electronic check, and purchase order. Using a fulfillment company, you can accept credit card online without a online merchant account.

Do i need a resume or curriculum vita

:
If you're confused about the difference between a resume and a curriculum vita (CV), you're not alone! Both are job-seeking documents used to help you obtain a job interview with a prospective employer. Both a resume and CV list relevant information about your background and your qualifications. To add to the confusion about these job-seeking tools, many people use these terms interchangeably. What are the differences?

The Resume

A resume is an overview of your relevant work experience, skills, education, and any other information related to the targeted job, such as volunteer work or professional memberships. There are three primary types of resumes: functional, chronological, and combination. A functional resume highlights skills, abilities, and education rather than work history. A true functional-style resume does not list employment dates. A chronological resume highlights employment (or volunteer work) shown in reverse-chronological format; that is, the most recent employment is listed first. A combination-style resume combines elements of the functional and chronological styles. Most resumes are one or two pages long.

For most job applications, a combination style resume is the best choice many applicants, including college students and new graduates. Even though work history on a graduate resume may not be as extensive as for that of a seasoned employee, a chronological work history can demonstrate transferable skills and dependability. A purely functional style resume would not provide this advantage, and yet a purely chronological style would not allow for additional information highlighting relevant skills or other information.

The Curriculum Vita

A CV is a more detailed listing of information used by applicants in select fields, such as the medical and education industries. The format of a CV is sometimes similar to that of a resume, but it is typically a straightforward listing of information. A CV includes information such as employment, education, and publications in a reverse-chronological order. It is often used by those seeking advanced positions in the medical and teaching professions. For example, someone applying for a university teaching position would list his or her education, classes taught, and any relevant publications. CVs can be much longer than a traditional resume.

A CV may also be required for those applying to graduate school, although again, a CV is typically used for specific fields, such as research or teaching. However, if you are applying for a position in a foreign country, you may need a CV. A professional resume writer can help you determine whether you should use a resume or a CV for these types of positions.

Which Do I Need?

For most new graduates and college students, a resume is the best option to use for job application purposes. There is a bit more room for creativity (in styling, not false information!) with a resume. Additionally, resumes are traditionally what hiring managers expect to see unless specifically noted otherwise.

Hurricane katrina recovery the price of rebuilding

President Bush and a number of other politicians are pushing for a huge rebuilding campaign for the devastated gulf coast region. Bottom figure estimates have the rebuilding costs pegged at 200 billion dollars while some have said that when it is all said and done the project will exceed one trillion dollars. Certainly, this will be the most massive renewal project ever undertaken in the history of the world. Can we afford this project? How will we pay for it? All Americans need to consider what this project will mean before giving their okay. Will politicians listen? It certainly remains to be seen.

We have all been captivated by the human drama that has unfolded before our very eyes since Hurricane Katrina slammed ashore this past August. People plucked off of their roof tops by the U. S. Coast Guard, children separated from their parents, bedlam at the Superdome, bodies floating in streets throughout the ninth ward, and more. These are some of the images we have all seen. Only a hard heart could fail to be affected in some way by the scenes we have witnessed on our televisions.

Within a few weeks, calls to rebuild the gulf coast region have been mentioned by President Bush and other leading politicians and echoed throughout the media. Many have stated that we cannot allow a major American city to remain destroyed, that rebuilding must occur. At any cost, at any price.

Personally, I hope that a certain amount of debate happens before funds are earmarked. So far, no actual amount has been mentioned, which is causing me to hold on to my wallet for dear life. No, I am not against helping people. What I do oppose is rebuilding in areas that are prone to future devastation and loss of life. Quite frankly, I do not know if there is an amount of money we could spend -- even if we had it -- that would protect area residents should a repeat performance ever occur, which is likely to happen once again.

Some questions I want to see asked include:

How many people who left New Orleans really want to go back? The latest figures I have seen is that about half do and half do not want to return. Does that mean that we should build a city on the same scale as the old New Orleans, or not?

What are the long term effects of the toxic cesspool? Will the soil permanently contain contaminants that could adversely effect the health of residents?

The current levee system is inadequate. Doesn't it make sense to have a new system in place before massive rebuilding commences?

Who will have authority over the funds? Local and state politicians whose prior management of the area is suspect to say the least? The federal government? An independent agency? Who?

Will we be able to divert funds from pork projects now slated to be funded? I have heard of two bridges in Alaska that are essentially bridges to nowhere. Are U. S. senators and congressmen willing to sacrifice personal pork projects to pay for this project?

How about cutbacks in military expenditures to help fund the project? No, I am not talking about cutbacks to Iraq, but why do we still have such a large troop presence in Europe? The cold war ended more than fifteen years ago, isn't Europe able to defend itself?

I realize some of these questions may appear to be insensitive, but they need to be asked. An emotional response to the devastation coupled with a blank check will likely mean that our children and grandchildren will be paying the tab, perhaps long after many of us are gone.

I really hope that we can think all of this through. My fear is that we won't and that we will saddle future generations with an awful burden.

Titanium watches

:
Renowned as the most comfortable watch metal around, titanium is lightweight, easy to care for, and is currently the hottest fashion choice in watches. Titanium Watches are favorites among watch connoisseurs and those who enjoy the finer things in life.

THERMAL SENSATIONS

Much the way that marble always feels cool, metals also have specific standing temperatures. When we put these metals against our skin, our thermal receptors respond to the new stimuli (the metal); cooler metal quickly draws heat from our warm skin, and the thermal receptors send a message to the brain reporting that the metal is cold. It is the sudden change in temperature - not the metal itself - that dictates thermal comfort.

TEMPERATURE CONDUCTIVITY

Although all metals conduct heat efficiently, stainless steel, aluminum, and gold conduct heat much more rapidly than titanium. This quick heat conduction creates a noticeable feeling of cold when the metal is touched to our skin. In very warm temperatures, such as in hot summer sunlight, the metal quickly absorbs the outside air temperature, and increases the temperature of the metal causing a watch to be extremely uncomfortable. In the same way that a spoon left inside a saucepan will quickly take on the temperature of the pot boiling on the stove, so too will many metals when in contact with a very warm environment.

Titanium watches do not experience such a dramatic heat transfer, due to the fact that titanium is a less efficient heat conductor. Ultimately, this makes for a far more comfortable watch: The wearer of a titanium watch does not feel sudden cold or extreme heat based on outside temperature; titanium retains its neutral temperature for much longer than most other metals. Choose the best brand before you buy Titanium watches.

HOT FASHION

Scientific information about heat transfer is all well and good, but perhaps the number one reason why so many people choose titanium watches is because of their beautiful look and continual, long-wearing comfort.

No matter why you think they're cool, titanium watches are a hot fashion choice everyone can agree on.

Citizen Watches

Founded in 1930, Citizen has grown from a small watch company to the largest watch manufacturer in the world. Today, no other watchmaker is more cherished and admired than Citizen. Buy Citizen watches from an authorized dealer like www. kenmarwatches. com. Citizen watches offer one of the best assortments of both men's and ladies watches.

Lose belly fat now

The first thing that people, who wish to lose weight, think about is reducing their belly fat. It does not matter if you need to lose those extra 15 pounds or a whole lot more. And it is exactly where they all go wrong. This article will explain what the biggest mistake of flat belly seekers is, how to avoid it, and achieve your desirable flat belly.

Belly muscles are designed to give balance and coordination for the body's movements. Constant movement keeps it in shape. People used to walk and move a lot just a few centuries ago. These days most of the people sit all day long at the office and as a result their muscles weaken. At this point they can't support the internal oranges, allowing the abdomen to bulge.

The swelling causes people to seek some drastic action, in order to regain that nice flat belly they start to exercise. This is where people make the biggest mistake in flatting their stomach: they start to workout very hard on their belly muscles and develop nice firm muscles but no one can see them. They are all sunken under a layer of fat. People are walking around with nice strong belly muscles that are actually invisible.

These people can not stop complaining about how hard they work, every day shaping their muscles but no visible results are shown. This is their mistake, their muscles are just fine. The problem is the layer of fat which covers them.

The solution is working on both things at the same time: on one hand work on your belly muscles, in addition you must reduce your fat percentage, Lowering your fat percentage will eventually give you the affect you were looking for the "six-pack" look. It is very important to realize that lowering only belly fat is impossible. You must burn fat with by working and developing a higher muscles mass which will burn more calories even when you rest. Another important aspect is to reduce fattening food consumption.

There is an argument regarding how much and how often should one work on his belly muscles. It depends on you, your time, and how quickly do you want to start shaping your belly. It is recommended to work once in two days for 15 minutes, work real hard the n rest the next day. It is possible to work every day on the belly muscles, contrary to other muscles, but its best to start in this moderate manner and move from there.

This is it the big secret do not expect to find specific exercises, it is not the most important thing the key to win your fight for a flat belly is in the combination of low fat diet and exercises which will end up in a flat belly.

Your template for a winning sales letter

Writing a winning Sales letter is one of the ways to sell a product/ebook/software on the Internet. Not everyone feels up to writing such a sales letter. So we either struggle to do so, or hire a copy-writer to do it, or buy copy-writing software. Winning letters are ones which follow a system. The following template is one such system.

1. Writing the headline: The headline should answer the question: What is the biggest benefit of your product/ebook/software. Think of the biggest benefit. At first many will come to mind. Your task is to think of one that is the biggest. Put this benefit at the end of any one of the following questions:

* Would you like to ...?

* Who else would like to ...?

* How would you like to ...?

You can think of more such starters for your headline.

2. Write the opening line. This is an answer to your headline. Some thing which says: "If you would like to know more about ... then this is likely the most crucial information you ever read." Fill the blanks with the most important benefit of your product.

3. Mention the name of your product and give the visitor the information about what they are going to find in it.

4. Imagine the over all benefits of your product; write them down in sentence format. Suggest your visitor also imagine these benefits.

5. Now list out the specific benefits and / or the features in bullet form. These bullets should help your visitors get a taste of the number of specifics they can get from your product.

6. Now make your offer. Suggest the price you could have charged for such a quality product. Specify that you are actually charging much less so that many more people can have access to the results of your hard work and because you understand the need for such a product.

7. Time to offer bonuses. Offer at least one bonus if not more. With each bonus list the benefits that the visitor will get. Also mention the price of each bonus. At the end of the list of bonuses mention the total value of the bonuses.

8. Time for testimonials. Plug in testimonials of actual people who have used your product and have found it useful, with their names and where they are from.

9. Write your guarantee/refund policy. This will make them feel in control of the purchase. Set a refund period while you are at it. Usually the service provider that you use to collect payments and deliver your products will specify in their terms and conditions the refund period that they will accept.

10. Call for action. Paste your purchase button now. So that your visitor can make their purchase.

11. You are done. Edit this letter using Dreamweaver or any other WYSIWYG editor of your choice and set it up on your website.

Colon Cleanses to Lose Weight: Do They Really Work?

Are you looking to lose weight? If you are, you may have used the internet to research weight loss products. When many of us think of weight loss product, diet pill are often the first thing that comes to mind. While diet pills may be able to help you achieve your weight loss goals, diet pills are not the only weight loss product that you may want to look into. A large number of individuals have successfully used colon cleanses, also commonly referred to as weight loss cleanses, to lose weight and you may want to think about doing the same.

When it comes to using colon cleanses to lose weight, there are many individuals, possibly just like you, who wonder how the whole process works. Before understanding how colon cleanses may help you lose weight, it is important to remember that there may be a variance. There are some colon cleanses that advertise that they are designed to help you lose weight. These types of colon cleanses are also commonly referred to as weight loss cleanses. With that in mind, there are colon cleanses that advertise that they are not guaranteed to help you lose weight, even though some of them may.

When using a colon cleanse, it is important that you follow all of the instructions given to you. For instance, there are some colon cleanses that require that you do not eat anything for one or two days. These types of colon cleanses are often ones that are in liquid format. The colon cleanses in pill format may request that you only eat and drink certain products, like fruits and vegetables. If you buy a colon cleanse that asks to you restrict your diet, you are advised to do so. This diet restriction is what makes it possible for you to lose weight, as well as allow the colon cleanse to properly work.

When you use a colon cleanse, you are essentially detoxifying, your body. The colon cleanse will work to push toxins out from your colon and sometimes even your intestines. This is not only ideal to promote a healthy wellbeing, but it can also help you lose weight. It has been said that the average person has anywhere from four to eight pounds of stored waste in their body. When using a colon cleanse, that extra waste will be expelled from your body. This is why many individuals are able to lose weight with a colon cleanse.

If you are able to use a rapid colon cleanse, like one that works in three to seven days, you may notice a rapid weight loss. There are some individuals who use colon cleanses to quickly lose weight before a special event like a wedding or a vacation. While you may be able to achieve rapid weight loss with a colon cleanse, it is important that you proceed with caution. If you do not change the way that you eat or add exercise to your daily activities, you may see your weight add back on it as little as a few weeks or a few days. This typically happens if you were asked to restrict your diet when using a colon cleanse. While you do not have to keep up with your restricted diet, you are advised to reduce your junk food intake and start a daily or at least a weekly exercise program.

Since it is more than possible for you to lose weight with a colon cleanse, you may be interested in giving one a try. When looking to buy a colon cleanse, you may be able to find them available for sale in traditional department stores, fitness stores, and health stores, both on and offline. Before buying a colon cleanse, you may want to search for product reviews online or speak with a healthcare professional. This will help to ensure that you if you do buy a colon cleanse that your money is well spent.
